About you:

  • You have two years of volunteer or work experience in a customer service role.  Bonus points if you are a pro at talking with clients on the phone.  We know that lots of people are amazing at in-person customer service, but only a special few are top-notch at providing great service only via phone. Check out the interviewing tip at the end of this posting for more info.
  • You're proficient with Microsoft Office and technology in general.  It's a challenge when you can't see a client face-to-face, and this role requires you to talk, listen, and use technology at the same time. Proficiency with Word and Excel are so critical, that a practical exam may be required.  Need to polish your Microsoft Office skills?  We encourage you to do that, and check out our other positions where technology usage isn't as crucial to success.
  • Speaking of customer service, if Disneyworld was in Virginia, your skills are so magical that you could work there.  You are a master of empathizing with an upset client by listening to them first.  You're also a pro at problem-solving in a way that delights them while fixing the problem.  (In other words, your solution to everything ISN'T to give things away for free...or to ask your manager what to do every time.)  You understand how important it is to LISTEN and UNDERSTAND a frustrated customer.
  • You're hard-working and reliable.  Being successful in this role starts with coming to work on time, and being someone the company and our customers can count on every single day.  If you're a "five minutes early is on time, and on time is late" person, you're who we are looking for!  If you're a "hit the snooze alarm three times and speed to work" person--and c'mon, you know who you are--your success in this position will be limited.

What you'll be doing:

Your primary responsibilitiy is to enter orders for customers that request supplies (in our world that's mostly toner cartridges) either via phone or online.  You'll also help solve the occasional customer problem, for example, assisting a customer whose supply shipment was lost in the mail.  Once you're established in your role, you will have the chance to work on special projects to support our admin, service, and sales teams.  And of course, there are other duties as assigned, which may include filing or data entry.
